String Song Orchestra is a community based orchestra of adults of all ages. Rehearsals begin on Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Long and McQuade Musical Instruments, 129 Aylmer Street N, Peterborough and run from 10 am to 12 pm weekly. Violin, viola, cello and string bass players who can comfortably read music are welcome to join.

BAMBERG GIRLS CHOIR
The Bamberg Girls Choir from Bamberg, Germany will be presenting a choral concert on Sunday September 3, 2017 from 3 to 4:30 pm at the Cathedral of St Peter-in-Chains, 411 Reid St, Peterborough. The choir is made up of 40 girls ranging in ages from 14 to 19 and is on a concert tour of Ontario. Admission is by donation, to help support the new sound and light system at the Cathedral.

Hooks & Needles Peterborough is looking for wool/money donations and new members. We knit beanies, blankets and sweaters (patterns and wool supplied) to help prevent pneumonia in pre-mature babies in 22 countries around the world as well as here at home. We meet the last Tuesday of each month from 1-3pm at St John the Baptist Catholic Church on Wilson St. Bring your knitting and make new friends while at the same time you will be helping to save babies lives.
